Routine

At Nurtureville no two days are the same, our days are based on the children’s interest as well as the weather conditions. However, we know it is important to children to have familiar routines to feel confident and comfortable within the nursery.

In the mornings you are able to take your child to the transition room (buttercups room) where you will be welcomed by a familiar member of staff, in the room we serve breakfast and there are a few activities set up for the children to engage with. After breakfast all children then go to their own rooms. We have three rooms. These are baby room aged 4 months to 2 years (bluebell’s room), toddler room aged 2 years to 3 years (snowdrops room) and preschool room aged 3-5 years (sunflowers). Each room then follow their own structured routine which is displayed on the back of their door, again this routine is flexible to weather changes and children’s preferences, wants and needs.

Our only routine that consistently stays the same is our meal times, these are at set times in the day and they are as follows:

Breakfast: 07:30am-08:30am

Morning snack: 10:00am-10:30am

Lunch: 11:30am

Afternoon snack: 14:00pm-14:30pm

Tea: 16:00pm
