Partnering with parents

Here at NurtureVille Nursery we pride ourselves on having strong parent partnerships with our families. We build collaborative relationships between our early year educators and parents; this is built on mutual trust and respect. Our partnership involves two-way communication to share information about a child’s interest, their needs and progress, which ultimately supports the child’s learning and development both at home and within the setting. It involves recognising parents as their child’s primary educators and actively involving them in their child’s educational journey.

Parent partnerships are important as it helps to support the child’s development, confidence, self-esteem, and individual learning. Sharing information between home and the nursery creates a more consistent and supportive environment for the child. Our Early Years Educators also gain a deeper insight into a child’s background, home life, and interests, which can help inform planning for their learning. We also provide parents with resources and workshops. This helps empowers parents.

We work closely with all our families to ensure constant support and development in their child’s learning journey with us. We support in home learning where parents are supported in providing different learning opportunities at home as well as at the nursery. We provide regular parents evening where parents are invited in to discuss their child’s developments and achievements. We discuss any concerns a parent may have at the earliest opportunity possible to ensure any action needed can be implemented as soon as possible. We provide an open-door policy within the nursery where our parents can approach us about anything needed. We appreciate parents’ cooperation in the following the policies and procedures to ensure they are contributing to the positive development of their child and maintain a safe and supportive environment for their child.
